2023 Annual Report

In the words of Reinhold Niebuhr, “Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in our lifetime.” 

These words are hard to integrate in an age of quick fixes and instant gratification; they are even harder to accept in the face of our community’s and nation’s challenges. Although we may want easy solutions, wise elders have learned that things truly worth doing sometimes take a lifetime — or longer.

This wisdom does not shake our resolve at Youth Frontiers, but rather solidifies our commitment to keep planting seeds of respect, courage, humility, responsibility and kindness through our programs. For these character traits to take root in our community, we must practice them daily, choice by choice, deliberately and intentionally. This takes time, even generations. The need for character is both immediate and perennial.

Character matters. We stand strong in that belief. When we live and lead with character, we lay the groundwork for a better future.
